Hello Torsten! I don't know what is the true answer, but in my opinion for better english you need to practise every day.you also need to contact with native speakers,to listen every day English speech and so. |

dear torsten, good evening.
as different people has there different ideas and techniques to do or learn somthing, I also have something strange and different idea for learning english and I have been following the idwa for at least three years....which benefitted me in a great deal..
I simply translate the sentences, which I utter in my mothertounge- into english and try to make it perfect.
I read newspaper and note down the ne meaning i get and laern them immediatly from a quality dixnary...altogether, i use that new word in my own sentence at least twice.... |

hi Torsten, sorry for my delay in responding to your topics. I found "How to learn English?" is really an interesting topic. and I would like to share some of the methods I 'm using. 1.reading English news paper loudly, and try to understand it. write down the new or tough words and find out the meanings in dictionary. but its really a tough one for me.
2.listening to radio like BBC.
3.watching T.V ,especially cartoon net work,Disney channel and movies with subtitles in English.
that's what I am doing. and of course I'm fallowing your mails.
thank you . regards, Sri |

| I am a chinese. It was well-accepted here that reading is the best way to imprve one's english. Two kinds of reading should be concerned: read intensively and recitation is prefered; read extensively forgetting the words you don't know and just guess the meaning according to the context or forget it. |

Hello everybody!
I think that the methods for learning english is very different for each person.Until now, I am not trying many of this. I just reading different small texts in English, I`m watching on Discovery Channel, who is in english language. I don`t have too much patience when I see that there is so many words I can`t understand them or I can`t pronounce them. So....I promise from now on I will try to listening BBC radio, every day, for 30 days to see if I improve my english. I will tell you wich are my results. Regards, Georgiavali
PS. Please, correct my mistakes...Thank you! |
